Born and raised in New Jersey, I have been a resident of Montclair for 22 years. Since May 2012, I have had the honor of serving as the First Ward Councilor for the Township of Montclair. In May 2016, I was re-elected as the only First Ward Councilor to run unopposed in Montclair’s history. I am also an active member of several local and community boards. I currently serve on the board of directors for the Family Service League. Devoted to my community, I also served on the board of directors for American Red Cross of Northern New Jersey, the board of directors for National Youth Recovery Foundation, the board of trustees for Outpost in the Burbs, the board of directors for the Montclair YMCA, vice chair for the Newark Presbytery and on the advisory board for the Federal Enforcement Homeland Security Foundation.
I grew up in a small town in New Jersey. I learned the value of public service at an early age. My father is a retired detective lieutenant who served our local police department for thirty years. My mother is a retired teacher's aid and served in that position for the last thirty-two years at the local elementary school I attended. I carry the values they instilled in me into my position as a public servant.
I appear frequently on media outlets regarding the issues that are important to the citizens of Montclair. Given my extensive experience and knowledge in healthcare law issues, I also appear on several television shows and media outlets such as News and Views, Special Edition: Health Care Fraud, hosted by Barbara Chase 2018; Meet Clifton, hosted by Ray Grabowski; Conscious Media Festival, 2017; and Celestial Space Radio, 2016.
